Julianne McKinnon

MBA, CMC, CPHR

 

With over fifteen years of management consulting and search experience, Julianne works alongside leadership teams to advance their strategic planning and operations, and to secure the executives to deliver results. 

Julianne has extensive experience in post-merger integration support, project management and operational business advisory, in sectors including health services, real estate, and consumer goods. Julianne's clients include entrepreneurs and small businesses, as well as non-profit and public organizations.

Julianne has held managerial positions in strategic marketing, investor relations and public relations for companies operating across Canada. A former special events planner, Julianne has experience planning and managing events from concept to execution.  

Julianne currently serves as Secretary of the Board of LINKages, a non-profit that nurtures mutually meaningful intergenerational relationships between youth and seniors.

Julianne holds a Bachelor of Commerce degree from the University of Calgary, a Master of Business Administration from Queen’s University, and a Certified Management Consultant (CMC) designation from the Canadian Association of Management Consultants (CMC- Canada). Julianne also holds a Chartered Professional in Human Resources (CPHR) designation and is a member of CPHR Alberta.

Lachlin McKinnon

Lachlin has been sourcing and advising exceptional leaders since 2008.  Before co-founding Prospector, Lachlin was a managing director of one of the world's largest executive search firms.

Lachlin is passionate about finding the right leaders to be the difference-makers for organizations that advance the public good. A leading search practitioner in the non-profit and public sectors, Lachlin supports organizations in education, health, social services, and arts and culture, as well as philanthropic foundations and advocacy associations. He has placed senior executives in real estate, energy, utilities, law, and finance. In the public sector, he has secured directors, CEOs and executives for educational institutions, government agencies, boards and commissions, and municipal corporations.

Lachlin advises boards and leadership teams on governance, strategy, and recruitment matters.

Lachlin began his professional career as a civil litigation lawyer. He also served as Special Advisor to the Governor General of Canada.

Lachlin holds an ARCT in Piano Performance, an Honours BA in Philosophy and Political Science from Trinity College at the University of Toronto, and an LLB from the University of Calgary.

Lachlin is currently Vice Chair of the Board of Calgary Opera.
